Wayfinding Design

The wayfinding design serves to educate people, especially the youth who visit the nature reserve, about their surroundings. The placards explain interesting facts about the species. These also aim to showcase the beauty of the natural surroundings of the Desiderata Village.

For the wayfinding system of the Nature Reserve, I drew the icon designs (3 animals and 3 plants) to reflect the diversity and imperfect, nonrigid quality of nature. The stand for the placard information is inspired by the arch shape of the logo.

The signage will be made from the extra steel cutoffs from the shipping containers. This will be cost effective and steel will be more durable in such an environment.

BEFORE

I had to rethink the design of this as it resembled a tombstone. The final design incorporates the shape of the logo much clearer and has a clean and modern look and feel.
